Tiffany Baker, the mother of the teenager, stated that he possessed two mobile devices, both of which were powered off. Additionally, she mentioned that he always had his earbuds with him whenever he went out. At that moment, she became aware that something was off.

“Having been a part of his life, I was aware that my son was at risk,” she stated.

The family informed the police of Cion’s most recent whereabouts, but the residence was not searched because of a “lack of evidence.” Furthermore, they expressed dissatisfaction with the way the police managed the incident, claiming that the officers’ demeanor was ‘dismissive’.

Over the course of several days, the family journeyed in large groups to the small town in order to locate Cion. The individuals implored the police to provide them with explanations.

“It seems as though they are concealing something, and we are unaware of the situation,” stated Lucy Baker, Cion’s great aunt.

Cion’s remains was discovered interred in a shallow grave nine days after his disappearance. Additional information provided by the medical examiner illuminates the horrifying manner in which he was killed.

The individual’s demise was attributed to a gunshot injury inflicted against the cranium and spinal column. He was physically separated into pieces. Subsequently, a combination of lye and cement was applied to his body. “He was interred in a superficial burial site,” Tiffany Baker stated.

The death is being investigated as a homicide, as stated by Virginia State Police deputies who were providing assistance to the Kenbridge Police Department,

“Regardless of the circumstances, he did not merit such treatment, considering his age of only 17.” “To lack any answers is inexplicable,” Baker stated.

When questioned about the inquiry, Kenbridge Police Chief Ben Barns redirected inquiries to the Virginia State Police.
A representative from the Virginia State Police has communicated via email that the investigation is still in progress. There are no fresh updates or information to announce at this moment.
