YWCA hosts Reading to End Racism anniversary event
The YWCA Boulder County, in celebration of the 10th anniversary of overseeing the Reading to End Racism program, is hosting an event from 4 to 6 p.m. Nov. 27 at the Boulder Public Library’s Canyon Theater, 1001 Arapahoe Ave.
During the event, Daniel Escalante, a Reading to End Racism founder, plans to share how he and other volunteers launched the program in Boulder in response to reports from their children about racial bullying. A Reading to End Racism volunteer also will read and talk about a book with children in the audience.
All ages are welcome to attend. The event is free and registration is required at action.ywcaboulder.org/rer10.
